Call meeting to order: Chair Pam Sayre called the meeting to order at 7:30PM.
Pledge of Allegiance: Chair Pam Sayre led the Pledge of Allegiance upon opening the meeting.
Minutes of meeting held 3/18/2008:
Trustee Dever moved to approve the minutes. Chair Pam Sayre seconded the motion and the minutes were approved unanimously.
Trustee Williams moved to approve payments of the bills reported. Seconded by Chair Pam Sayre . The motion to approve payment of bills was approved unanimously.
Officer Goodrich, Franklin County Sheriff, attended the meeting at the request of Chair Pam Sayre to report on crime in Brown Township. He reported various home invasions when unoccupied and car thefts for the purpose of stealing valuables. There were 6 reports in the township within one month.
Elizabeth Clark was did not attend but a written report was presented and reviewed by the trustees.
Town Center Master Plan
On March 19 and 21, the client group conducted follow-up conference call interviews with short-listed consultants to allow the Prairie Township representative to be involved in the interview process and to allow other client group members to ask clarifying questions. Recommendations are now being made to the jurisdictions.
Update for Conservation Organizations
Representatives of the Big Darby Accord partner jurisdictions provided an update on implementation progress to representatives of the conservation organizations at a meeting on March 24.
Open Space Advisory Council
The organizational meeting of the Big Darby Accord Open Space Advisory Council was hosted by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission on March 25. Anthony Sasson of The Nature Conservancy was elected chair and Malcolm Porter of the Building Industry Association was named vice chair. The group is expected to meet monthly for the first few months and later move to a quarterly schedule.
Langton Road Soccer Fields Proposal
Representatives of the Mid-Ohio Select Soccer League have told Franklin County officials that this proposal is being withdrawn.
Big Darby Accord Working Group
The Big Darby Accord Working Group met on March 26 and heard updates from the subgroups.
At the request of the townships, Susan Ashbrook of the City of Columbus provided a briefing and answered questions on the differences between Hilliardís utilities contract and the proposed contract between Columbus and Franklin County to provide services without annexation to portions of the Big Darby Accord area. Concern was expressed about holding township development to a stricter standard with regard to Accord provisions than would be the case with Hilliard development. Hilliard is considering adoption of the Big Darby Accord as a way to resolve conflicts with Columbus regarding utilities service.

Trustee Dever reported all construction is complete and furnaces are operating well.
Fiscal Officer Bloxam reported $1,8000,000.00 of township funds were transferred from National City Bank to Fifth Third Bank as requested by the Trustees.
Barb reported a service person looked at the township hall water softener and found it to be non-repairable. It was suggested to obtain a couple of proposals to consider replacement.
Trustee Williams requested a review of available funding to discuss paving the parking lot this spring. He will contact an engineer to begin the process of determining what needs to be done and the cost.
With no further business to discuss, Trustee Dever moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Chair Pam Sayre. The motion to adjourn passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
